After 230 performances in more than 20 countries, Dyptik is starting the last set of performances of D-Construction.
We can still recall when the first seed of this performance crossed our path. It was back in 2015 when we witnessed a first version of D-Construction at Place de l’Hôtel de Ville at Chalon dans la Rue. We were caught by the energy of the team, the use of the scaffolding and the music. We teamed up and after one year of evolution and variations D-Construction was ready in its current format. This was only the start of an amazing adventure which unfolded during the years.
We have great memories of a packed Plaça de las Nacions at Fira Tàrrega, performances at Theater op de Markt, Freedom Festival, Tête-â-Tête in Rastatt, Bildstörung in Detmold and FARse in Strasbourg, to name a few.
Performances in South Korea, Morocco and Palestina are unforgettable and became an experience which dancers and audience kept in their hearts.
After every single performance audience came towards the stage. To share their feelings and emotions with dancers. To exchange with fellow audience members of what they saw, felt and witnessed. To speak about ‘the other’, fear, courage, separation and hope.
Hope for better days, better times, better understanding of each other.
