How do we socialize today? How did the first humans become the social beings we are now? Language seems to be one of the answers to this question. An arrangement of noises, silences and sounds. Is music not a more innate, universal language?
Playing the most ancestral source of sound, the drum, Origin tells the story of imaginary beings who meet, discover each other and build themselves into a tribe, a society.
The new show of Les Commandos Percu is a collective creation bringing on stage a shower of sound and light in unison. A perfectly rhythmic mechanism, the finding of a common language, the universal language of rhythm and fire.
Energy in motion
Music that speaks to the guts. Since the formation of the company in 1996, Les Commandos Percu has invented a language that is both new and ancestral, that speaks through cultures and genres. The company travelled the world with their innovative percussion work and specialized knowledge of fireworks. The essential sparkle in the fusion of music and fireworks is movement: street to street, amongst the public, the pyro-musicians enlighten the sky with their rhythms and daring staging.
