Like miners emerging from the depths of the earth, the musicians arise from the ashes of another world... Mineurs focuses on the identity of these men, arising from the mine to bring their machines back to life.
The streets become galleries where these men evolve by the light of their lanterns.
Their sticks become pickaxes, cornish shovels and crow bars. Among metallic sparks and the sound of repeating battering, throwing steam, gears, cracklings and hammering, they scratch and exhaust their bodies.
What did they discover?
An infernal breeze rises… The beating evolves into a rhythmic pounding, just like the breath of a living machine whose heartbeats give the pace.
Once arrived on a place where they gather all their treasures, their sooty arms start playing the drums…
What they have just exhumed from the depths of the earth is the furious whirlwind of life!
Energy in motion
Music that speaks to the guts. Since the formation of the company in 1996, Les Commandos Percu has invented a language that is both new and ancestral, that speaks through cultures and genres. The company travelled the world with their innovative percussion work and specialized knowledge of fireworks. The essential sparkle in the fusion of music and fireworks is movement: street to street, amongst the public, the pyro-musicians enlighten the sky with their rhythms and daring staging.
